Our principal office is in San Francisco.
But we create value coast-to-coast.

Turner DeVaughn Network (TDN) is a hands-on consultancy that develops company value propositions and advises creative agencies and information-technology (IT) organizations. We serve markets throughout the U.S. and Canada. When it comes to know-how in the realm of your value proposition, Steve Turner and Stan DeVaughn wrote the book. They are authors of NET Value: How to Create a Winning Value Proposition for Marketing in the Digital Culture.

Stan DeVaughn is co-founding partner. His 30-year career as a technology marketer, publicist and corporate/investor communicator traces the rise and prominence of Silicon Valley over four decades. His contributions at Apple Computer at the dawn of personal computing, Network Equipment Technologies (NET) after the breakup of the Bell System, and Network Appliance (NetApp) during the commercial rise of the Internet, were instrumental to the early-stage success of each enterprise. Today, all three companies utilize the programs and strategies he developed.

Between 1999 and 2005, as an independent consultant and a global consulting associate of The Chasm Group, specialists in market-development for technology companies, DeVaughn advised Smart Design USA, Chartered Semiconductor, Kintana Systems, Kaliedescape Corporation and Scout.com.

Stephen Turner is a close advisor to senior management of global brands throughout North America, focusing on the nexus of customer value and shareholder value. He developed and executed the Turner Investor Survey in 1999, which revealed new insights about investors in the Internet age. He applied the research to collaborations with leading brands of the digital culture, including Yahoo!, Ariba, Macromedia and Adobe. He also works with innovators, such as D-Wave Systems, the world's first commercial quantum computer company. Non-technology clients include Cost Plus World Market, WD-40 Brands, Robert Mondavi Winery, National Upholstering, Zeum, CenturyTel, California Water Service Group and Incyte Pharmacueticals. The firm also has confidentiality agreements with other household names that preclude disclosure.

Prior to renaming the firm Turner DeVaughn Network, he founded Turner & Associates in 1997. The innovation of the creative agency was recognized by Clio, The San Francisco Show, Best of Mohawk Show, SAPPI Ideas that Matter, British Design & Art Directors, Mead, Communication Arts Design Annual, among many others. He has also served as a judge in a number of international competitions, such as Communication Arts and Mead Show. In the process, Turner realized that the creative/design awards do impress clients more than they like to admit, but they should be more focused on creating value for their customers - a key reason for writing this book.

He has sat on a number of panels, including AlwaysOn OnMedia100, Seattle Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute and American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) National Conference and was keynote speaker at AIGA Portfolio Day in San Francisco. He currently Chairs the Design, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum at Temple University in Philadelphia. He is on the board of visitors at Tyler School of Art, and has served on the board of advisors with Academy of Art University and Shivas Irons Society. He also reviews marketing books for Library Journal.
