Benchmark criteria: How we grade
The following three criteria's are used by Turner DeVaughn to benchmarks web sites.
To start, 40 points are assigned if you have a web site and it is found through a Google search.
i. Features & Benefits
0 points: if the site does not provide product features (or if it is a service, the actual services) or benefits.
10 points: if the site provides only product features.
15 points: if the site provides only product benefits to users.
20 points: if the site provide product features and benefits.
ii. Value Proposition & Proof Points
0 points: if the site does not offer a value proposition or proof that it had a positive impact on real customers.
10 points: if the site provides only a value proposition or proof points, but not both.
20 points: if the site provides both their value proposition & proof points.
iii. Reference & Dialogue
0 points: if the site does not offer testimonials to reference or a place to see how the company dialogues with its customers.
10 points: if the site provides only testimonials as reference.
20 points: if the site provides testimonials and a section of the site that shows a dialogue with customers.
Turner DeVaughn found peers based on a Google search. To replicate the search, simply type in “related:www.yourwebsite.com” into search box to find related sites. You may not agree with the results that come up, but they are the reality of the web today.
