It is rare to see a Google "related" search yield companies with the same or similar names. A search of "www.advancedmobile.us" found Advanced Mobile Solutions (AMS) Ltd., Advanced Mobile UK and Advanced Mobile Car Care. Each have web sites that are content-poor, so Google has no choice but to use their names to suggest they are "related."

There are many other organizatons more closely related and Advanced Mobile Solutions can learn from each. Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) illustrates that mobile marketing is a crowded space and the winners have to stay several steps ahead. The web site of Wichro is built in Flash, which shows features, but the lack of searchable content has a negative impact on search (making it difficult for Google to ID peers). This is the same problem as Advanced Mobile Solutions faces, by the way. And, in the case of Screen Tonic, Europe is far ahead of the US and has more to show in the way of a proven value proposition.

The site itself offers four products 2Go (mobile that is). MyContent2Go offers an overview of features, but little in the way of the kind of substance that media companies demand. Product pages in today's hypercompetitive era also require benefits, proof points and a clearly articulated value proposition. The site has testimonials that sell the potential of mobile advertising, but don't help prospects answer the question "What will it do for me?"

As proof of concept, if it already has not done so, the company should sign deals to allow innovators/early adopters to act as beta users. This will allow the market to observe what benefits advertisers actually realize. User-generated content (for the purpose of marketing Advance Mobile Solutions) will allow the market to develop much more rapidly. VCs at the recent Top Line Conference talk about their scrutiny of companies, and the importance of tangible customer stories.
